Description

Physical

  • I like the idea of pulling from Latino roots for her, actually, go all out with the Dia de los Muetros influence, I think it could be fun. I feel like she might have a 'sexy'/'skimmy' feel to kinda capture the bubbly/festival feel, but it's not NECESSARY, it's just not explicitly obtrusive to the character.
  • Spitballin' here: But I really do like the idea of the 'skimmy' feel with her wearing only a large sweater and showing a decent amount of leg? Mmm. Leg. I was imagining she's got cork-screw horns on her hands and a small ring of horns/spikes around her neck. Her sweater is probably Andean designed, and if I was going to give her colors probably: Chestnut skin, dark grey spines, purple blue sweater, etc.

Mental

  • Sounds like you're making her bubbly, which is fine, because we need someone to keep the group light, especially Koray, so that works.
  • Super bubbly, optimistic, yet still more mature than the other three of the core four. I feel like she's a schemer and plotter, trying to advance her and Koray's relationship/their position in life. She hides a cunning and cold side under that bubbly demeanor, she IS a necromancer after all. I feel like she feels that she has to be super bubbly for Koray so is more serious when she's separated from him.

Musical

  • Again, I wouldn't be opposed to going all out in Latino roots. You said she felt kinda classical last night (before this bubbly thing came up), but I can see her being a fusion of the two which would be hella weird but possibly interesting. WE CAN MAKE IT WORK(?)

Playstyle

Health/Shield Spread

  • Probably 50/50, to keep her simple. I can see her possibly burning down health to replenish shields, but that's not NECESSARY.

General Feel

  • The black of the red and the black. Redesigned(?) to be passionate and necrotic, I imagine Hina actually takes some cues from green and positive energy, where she bolsters an enemy's mental blocks and reserves, to feed off the heightened value. Which I guess when written out that way sounds very vampiric, so nevermind I guess it's still black. Meanwhile, her physical attacks are focused on draining both herself and her opponent. Again pulling more explicitly from Magic, her special blocks (or the effect of one of her spells?) have an 'Undying' tag, where they're able to be used for their purposes twice. This is actually REALLY nasty with some of the proposed spells we discussed, so I am in favor of it right now unless it proves to be too broken. Additionally, this allows for some interesting mechanics mirroring the skeletal walls in Clash of Heroes, though not necessarily.

Passive

Wanna try to explicitly establish a positive and a negative for each.

Trying to come up with one purely physical, one purely mental, and one mix for every character, just to make sure each has one.

Feelings about Propositions

Relationship

Bahamut

  • I'll let you detail most of these, but thought I'd mention now instead of pulling the plan out of her ass Dai could get the idea from Hina. There's got to be differing circumstances between Hina's and Bahamut's deaths to make this work, but we can do that.

Koray

  • See Koray's page! Probably sees them a little bit more in the future than Koray while Koray is like 'I'm going to wake up tomorrow and still be with her.' while Hina is 'In a hundred years I'm still going to be at his side.' I also feel that he was basically like a huge beacon on Planet X to her being a cubus so he's probably the favored of the cubus in general but only Hina can eat on him because relationships.

[Dai]

  • I feel like she and Dai get along swimmingly and their differences only make them CLOSER. For lesbians? Wait no. While Dai is kinda off in the clouds, she's super grounded (except if it comes to Koray) and may lead to interesting conversations that I may want to just RP out to see where they would stand!

Zero Hunter

  • Weirdly accepting of his goal (everything has to end sometime!) but comes to fight with him when he's threatening her companions because she can't learn to let go of all things. She's not a SUPER good necromancer.

Issues to Be Resolved

  • It's possible she needs her own backstory, and then we need to work on the some of the finesse of her spell. Can she end it and she considers it in later arcs? Or is she stuck and kicking her own ass the entire time? Otherwise, I think she's pretty well put together. If you know what I mean.
  • I'd say she's probably stuck in a hilarious feed-back loop of emotions in her tie? She wasn't ready to die YET so threw herself to Koray because she couldn't say goodbye yet. So she's tied to him by virtue of her own emotions and his emotions. So if she can let go AND he can let go, she can move on. Which means that could be a later scene in arc 2/3 with really sad goodbyes. Can't be worse than FFX!
  • As far as backstory goes, I feel like Cubus (cubii?) aren't too common, so sort of gravitate to giant things of emotion like Koray and the gang. But Hina beat them all off with her charm and her magic power???
