Devix

Description

Physical

  • Tall, muscular, missing a nose (at least the first time). Devix, for all intents and purposes, fits our muscular build requirement, both in body and brain. Paler complexion, possibly even paler than Dai.
  • Wings up, like Tiamat his form is very much about dominance.

Mental

  • Devix recalls his teachings, that elves were created by the Makers, and everything was perfect. But the later races shared off the Makers and ruined everything. Killing them all will solve it. He's emotionless and merciless, making him the perfect genocidal leader.

Musical

  • Mm. The entire time I was typing the above Dangerous Zone from Grandia II was playing in my head. But honestly, I think that may be too 'dirty' for him. His stuff would probably be aggressive, but very clean and precise, almost narrow in its sound like his mindedness eh eh.

Playstyle

Health/Shield Spread

  • Mmmm.... I feel like defense doesn't really cover his scope. Probably something like 80/20.

General Feel

  • That said, he may be a character who is able to anticipate and negate strikes similarly to UO. Focused on regenerating himself and cutting into his enemy.

Passive

Wanna try to explicitly establish a positive and a negative for each.

  • Negative:
  • Positive:

Block

  • I feel like his special block may embody his sword. It can be used to attack, or when used (not just passively because that'd probably be broken) defensively can just negate a turn of damage, symbolizing him regenerating. Seems pretty straightforward and in theme with the character, but who knows. Spitballs.

Spells

Trying to come up with one purely physical, one purely mental, and one mix for every character, just to make sure each has one.

  • Physical:
  • Mental:
  • Combination:

Feelings about Propositions

Relationships

Andreas

  • Ah, now a woman that knows her place, helping him advance his goals and purge the world of lesser races.

Dai

  • Betrayer to the elves. Nothing worse.

Elves in General

  • The best around. But these elves, while having nothing to lose, simply do not have the strength or tactics to win this war. Good thing they provide a series of host bodies for him, if nothing else.

Karm

  • Ugh, this guy again.

Issues to Be Resolved

  • I was kinda thinking it seems easy for Bahamut to come in and say 'Hey no' but then I was like 'Wait like Devix would give a shit.' This could actually be a way to keep Bahamut's power down for Arc 3, Bahamut tries to approach Devix and barter for peace but Devix simply sees him as another traitor to the cause and strikes pretty hard at him. Dai intervenes and kills Devix, Andreas reaches for his sword (to offer her body to his spirit) but Dai picks it up first and destroys it. Think that's a pretty good way for that whole section to play out.
