I may add future stuff here too, but right now this is a compressed timeline of all major events that will likely have to be decompressed at some point, so let's go ahead and do this. Italics means it's something currently happens but isn't really touched on in the story so it can be changed or cut.

The Universe in General[edit]

Genesis of Life and Races[edit]

SOME INDETERMINABLE AMOUNT OF TIME AGO

  • This iteration spawns as a big ol' bag of potential
  • Life and Rebirth are born, create the grand cosmos
  • They create the Makers to play in it
  • The Makers, wanting something to lord over, create their own Servants
  • The Sevants are largely content, but express frustration of being at the bottom of the totem
  • Fearing rebellion, they create great impossible monsters, living elementals, all sort of shit for them to play with
  • But the monsters begin to feed off one another, causing strife between the Servants who operate over them
  • The Makers create small, weak, plentiful races to work at the bottom of the food chain
  • The races end up surviving and in some cases thriving in small groups despite the hardships of the early universe, and Servants and some Makers watch curiously
  • More heavy experimentation and focus on creating races occurs, as Servants become attached to the last batch and want them to lord over something
  • Eventually, humanity is created, supposed to be the new lowest rung on the ladder, but with a spark of chaos in their genesis, they quickly adapt and begin a complicated society.

The Departure of the Makers and Early Races[edit]

  • The large majority of Makers become concerned as the races largely band together to wipe out the monsters and civilize the planet
  • A few Makers, and most of the Servants, instead want them to survive on their own
  • The latter form a group, with Bahamut being a front figure, recruiting countless droves of dragons and elves to follow, promising them the world.
  • As the group grew, though, the rest of the Makers were all the more convinced they could not leave it nor the races unchecked.
  • Sensing the pressure, Bahamut bartered for the lives of the Servants with the lives of his races
  • The dragons and elves were by and large wiped out and the Servants associated with the movement sealed away.
  • One young dragon, Tiamat, swore revenge on Bahamut.
  • Soon after, the races revealed that they'd invented a way to make the Makers mortal (try saying that five times fast). The Makers, terrified of the prospect, sealed themselves off in a separate plane.
  • Most Early Races, like dragons and Cubii, began their own minor retreat to smaller planes they'd create, realizing they don't fit in with this progress.

The Searing[edit]

  • As progress was being made in understanding the vastness of the universe, two experts in the field discovered the manastream (or 'Life Tree') underneath, connecting all planets.
  • One intended to study it more, the other, right now we'll call 'Jack' tried to integrate himself with it.
  • Fearing the repercussions, the former opened up a gate to the Void, letting hungry Planet Eaters tear apart the latter.
  • Slaves to their hunger, the Planet Eaters rove the universe and destroyed the LARGE majority of life in the universe in the process, like probably 9/10ths AT LEAST.
  • Additionally, this cataclysm disrupted any interplanetary communication and travel, and as the majority of reachable planets around them were lifeless and decaying now, most remaining planets assumed they were the only ones to get out clean.
  • With the same amount of universal mana pouring into far less planets, the remaining planets were about to have some growing pains.
  • Also the former expert 'created' HAZE to combat outbreak scenarios like the possibility of someone integrating themselves with the lifeforce of the universe, and also the actual reality he created with the Planet Eaters, whoops.
    • In original drafts it's only noted that HAZE was created on Sote, but it feels kinda weak when Jack has a universal reach. It's possible the former popped around the universe some setting up branches of HAZE on each planet, but why wouldn't he have them communicate? Unless like some kind of idiot that released Planet Eaters on the universe he didn't WANT them to communicate, fearing some sort of problem arising from it? Sure, maybe, I don't know.
  • Also that Jack guy survived but was a lot more subtle, getting power to the Agents.

???[edit]

  • Zero Hunter is born on some planet or another he ends up destroying by devouring all the Zeroes, probably with a new past because his current one is kinda convoluted.

Issues to Be Resolved[edit]

  • Mm, I don't know, this is so vague and long ago I don't see many problems in it. If you think of any let me know.

Sote[edit]

Sote's history is pretty unremarkable until the Searing, so let's just start there. On the plus side, I can start providing actual timeframes for things here, we'll have the time noted by BB or 'Beep Boop,' with -1000BB being about the start of things on Sote and 0BB being the beginning of the story. You're welcome.

The Searing[edit]

~-1000BB

  • A great mage gives his life to wipe out the Planet Eater(s???) in the area
  • His apprentice, an arrogant young girl named Tada, forms a small group to protect the peninsula she grew up on.
  • Eventually she pisses off a mage, who respects her goals enough to not fuck her up but still flips her gender because why not
  • Tad doesn't really give a damn, still working to protect the area
  • Eventually things head and the peninsula is destroyed (by one of the members of the group gone traitor, twist!), they save everyone they can
  • One of the children, Laidena, proves hardworking and focused, and Tad mentors her for a bit.
  • Eventually though, a wanderlust sets in, and he goes out into space looking for meaning, leaving Laidena behind.

The Rest[edit]

~-800BB

  • Tad returns to Sote, superpowered by the experience, becoming one of the most powerful mages.
    • (the current draft is he meets the person who created the universe and becomes their apprentice, but I'm not sure if I ever even need to touch on that, at least for this story)
  • He sets up a lot of experimental stuff in testing his new powers, including making a race to deal with outbreaks. Created in memory of his apprentice, he makes the Uligo.
  • Eventually this stuff catches the eye of HAZE and they send someone out to investigate it. Oh hey it's Laidena.
  • The two have an argument of goals, Laidena arguing that one cannot do stuff willy-nilly, while Tad... kinda just wants to do what he wants.
  • Laidena is charged with keeping an eye on his stuff by HAZE.

~-600BB (I'm thinkin' this can be moved closer to modern day, seeing how little happens between it)

  • Devix wipes out the Uligo, with young Karm probably surviving due to his Water Zero powers in this one.
  • Lost and without purpose, he is called on by fae to protect them from elves, to which he goes 'Okay.'
  • Not long after, he meets a young elf, Dai, who bonds with him, due to a feeling of kinship as the Energy Zero, and eventually the two are able to work out peace between them.
  • The two dick around Europe Sote for an indeterminable amount of time abusing their powers, before they're approached by the other Zeroes, who force them to keep a lid on it due to the story of the Zero Hunter.
  • The other Zeroes are assholes, and after an indeterminable amount of time Karm and Dai eventually separately escape from them.

~-600-200BB (so like probably NEAR the timeframe wherever the previous section was)

  • Fenrir's born and is stupid aggressive because of a shiny new past we'll write, probably.
  • Weapon Goddess' shit probably goes down about the same time.

~-5BB (LKD time)

  • Prologue
    • Devix is killed (by Isis).
    • Karm joins a ragtag bunch of heroes.

~-4BB

  • Legend/Vengence Series
    • Dai catches wind of where Karm is.
    • Devix revives when someone picks up his sword, goes after those who associated with Isis. Karm's one of them, so that's a bonus.
    • Devix grows annoying powerful, his sword is destroyed. Being a sore loser, he catches a black hole to the Void intent on sucking all of those who opposed him in with him. He fails.
  • Zero Series
    • Karm used his powers against Devix, appearing on the radar of the other Zeroes and the Zero Hunter. After some infighting, Zero Hunter pounces with a massive army and flying factory.
    • Zero Hunter significantly outplays the Zeroes (including stabbing Dai through the chest with his tail), but is banished to the Void by Tad in anger.
    • Kinda skipping over the whole Tada thing here, I like it but it's either irrelevant or getting cut, I don't know.

~-2BB

  • The rest of the heroes want to create an organization to improve Sote, Karm gets bored.
  • He and Dai dick around again.

0BB

  • For some reason or another, Dai's portal misfires and launches Karm at Planet X. Original drafts had it be due to him dicking around, but I'm not sure if that's TOO dumb of a set-up for the series.

Issues to Be Resolved[edit]

  • Some timing issues, mostly. In my setting, aging isn't really a problem after the Searing, the effects can be fought by the massive amount of mana people are getting now. So the 'people living really long' thing isn't a problem (not to mention I lost the notebook where I drew it up but I'm pretty sure a Sote year is only like 160 days so), there's just some areas where nothing seems to be happening at all.

Planet X[edit]

???[edit]

  • Whatever's in Koray is sealed one of the ruins.
  • Portal to Zirconia for some reason???

The Searing[edit]

  • I imagine unlike Zirconia below, this may have well had a scrape with a Planet Eater. Or maybe it's just dying for other reasons, never did want to live forever. The latter probably makes more sense, because I mean Planet Eaters are pretty thorough.

The Rest[edit]

???

  • Starts decaying like mad.
  • Fae start to hide in the wastelands, become mutated.
  • I imagine if there was an equivalent of HAZE on the planet, it probably went under for some reason or another, either due to or leading to the kinda anarchic feel of the planet.

~-17BB

Issues to Be Resolved[edit]

  • Timing, and reasoning for a few things.
  • Also, why doesn't it have Zeroes? Or is it because it's dying? (OR IS DYING BECAUSE OF THAT???)

Zirconia[edit]

After the Departure of the Makers[edit]

  • Bahamut settles down on Zirconia, granted the air to dragons and land to elves. The native dwarves just roll with it, not being terribly attached to the surface.

The Searing[edit]

  • Bahamut on some level reflects any hungry Planet Eaters. It could be the event he rests after, he could be resting already and his aspects take care of it, I don't know.

The Rest[edit]

???

  • Bahamut's aspects emerge and our his primary interaction with the races.
  • Dwarves start dying out, making artificial bodies to keep their work going.
  • Shit goes belly up due to the Metal Zero and the Aspects seal off the lower levels, knowing that an unrestrained Zero is probably a bigger fish than them. The other Zero spirits are sealed up in there somehow (it's possible the hosts were down there trying to restrain the Metal Zero), and the aspects are content with this. Right now I'm thinking the seal genuinely just freezes everything down there, so the fake dwarves aren't even aware of any time elapsing. ANYWAY
  • The aspects begin playing their followers against one another. EVENTUALLY this leads to a clear divide between elf and dragon, with dragon coming out ahead.

~-20-25BB

  • Andreas and Xack are born. At the same time. Because they're twins.

Issues to Be Resolved[edit]

  • Timing, as usual, is everything. Also a few other things so I guess not EVERYthing.
